About

Haleigh Noseworthy
My emotions go hand in hand with my paintings—they drive what I create. The process means more to me than the finished product. When I create a painting, my thoughts leave my head and enter the canvas. The act of making takes full control. I almost always start a piece with an automatic style- I try not to have a set vision when I begin a painting. As it evolves, I might see a pattern recognizable form, or shape that will lead me in that direction which allows me to create more structure in the piece by adding positive and negative forms. I want the viewer to have their own relationship with the piece. If they see the same things that I see great, and if they do not that is fine too. I do not want to completely influence the viewer.
